IC INFORMATION
[Character]: Gaara of the Sand Waterfall
[Canon]: Naruto
[Age]: 16
[Canon Point]: Right after Gaara gets his face smashed in when fighting against Madara in the war. [Manga only]

[History]: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Gaara

[Personality]: Gaara's personality has changed greatly since the first time the readers meet him. He's grown into a dutiful and strong-willed adolescent and continues to grow still.

At first, we see him as an insane psychopath driven to eliminate anyone and everyone that posed a threat to his very existence which was damn near any human being. But after the fateful encounter with Naruto and getting sense literally beaten into him, he had striven to create a different path, one very much like Naruto's to feel like his existence mattered.

Ever since then, he moved forward with an open mind and open eyes no longer driven by the darkness inside of him. Slowly but surely, he started to gain the trust of the people around him. Of course, at first, they were wary of him knowing that he was capable of killing each and every one of them. Gaara was aware of why they were afraid of him, why they still hated him, and still shunned him, but still he worked hard for them to redeem himself.

Eventually he became Kazekage for his power and ability and he continued to grow as a human being.

Gaara is the strong, silent type. He generally doesn't speak until he needs to, but when he does speak, his words are not minced. He doesn't beat around the bush or speak cryptically, he is very straight forward and knowledgeable in what he says. He has even taken on the ability to change the way people feels through his words. (He learned from the best, after all.)

While he's generally stoic, he's not completely emotionally clogged. He's shown crying and even weeping openly when something hits a crucial point in his heart. He's seen smiling a couple of times, especially when dealing with Naruto. When truly riled up by something, he'll even shout which isn't expected of the normally quiet boy. Of course, he still has a ways to go in regard to showing his emotions. He doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve, certainly.

Gaara has a powerful sense of duty to his country. He will do anything to protect his people. In his fight with Deidara, he expended all of his chakra to protect the entire village from his terrorism which resulted in his own capture and ultimate death. He fights fiercely to make sure that his people and others are kept safe. He even forgave his father because he understood that he was only doing what he thought was best for Suna even if it wasn't in the most legitimate way.

Though he's able to be a good leader, strong speaker, and a powerful protector, he still has a ways to go in personal interactions with people. Because he's so quiet and it's hard to tell what he's thinking, it's hard for anyone to approach him. His stance is very intimidating and even his speech is a bit hard around the edges. It would be easy for him to accidentally offend someone if he pointed something out that he really shouldn't for social purposes. Once someone has him as a friend, however, he's extremely loyal. He would never let harm befall someone that he cared about even if they didn't care as much.

This young Kazekage brings new ideals to the Kages. He believes in unity and each country helping each other rather than isolating themselves and ignoring their fellow human being when they're in need. He gets ridiculed for these ideals, but he sticks by them. He even gets the Kages to agree to unify all of their shinobi in the Great War.

Gaara's favorite food is salted tongue and gizzard and his least favorite food is yokan and marron glace. His hobbies include cultivating cacti and battling. His favorite words are “future” and “affection”, which are most likely from the fact that he is looking forward into a brighter future with the affection from his siblings and new friends.

[Abilities/Powers]: Gaara has the ability to manipulate sand in any way he sees fit. He can also crush minerals into sand if there is none around. He can no longer use any special jinchuriki techniques since he doesn't have the ichibi inside of him anymore, but his chakra is still just as strong.

[Position]: Customer Service Representative

[Why this position?]: Being a Kazekage, he has to have some level of duty to the people. Unfortunately, this is a major step down --It's like a cliffdive down.-- from being a Kazekage, so it'll be hilarious.

[Journal Entry Sample]:
[Gaara looks down at the World Mobile, the feed recording his puzzled stare at the strange device. The feed stays on his face for quite a while as you see his eyes scanning the thing and occasionally blinking. If you're waiting for him to say something, you may be waiting in vain.

Finally, he does something differently and looks up from the device and around the room he's currently in.]

Hm...

[Oh! A noise! His brows furrow a bit.]

...My right to exist....

[Hark! He speaks! But that's all anyone watching will get for now as he presses a button and the feed finally ends.]

[Prose Sample]:
Gaara stared blankly at the goopy, alien...woman(?) in front of him as she waved a damaged item in front of his face. His eyes didn't follow the object, but focused completely on the customer in front of him that babbled on and on about the defective item she had in her...appendage.

Though his face seemed less than enthusiastic about the whole ordeal, he was listening to her bubbly and slimy words pop out of her mouth place. Thanks to the World Mobile placed upon his chest, he could understand the irritated thing in front of him. There were two points in the argument that didn't add up. She rambled about how it was just fine when she bought it or else she wouldn't have spent her money on such a contraption, but then apparently after a few uses, it broke. She claimed the object to be faulty, but seeing the way this creature was constructed, he thought otherwise.

Finally, the alien slammed down the foreign item, her slime covering it and slipping onto the counter. From the sludge trails, it looked like the alien was slightly acidic. No wonder the object couldn't hold up for more than a couple of uses.

The alien then looked at him pointedly for him to start the return, which Gaara felt was undeserved. His sense of justice was rising in a place where the customer was always right.

“Judging from the damage, I think you're the one responsible for its deterioration. You should think about how to handle things before you buy them” he said bluntly, once a moment of silence had passed. “It's insulting to the company that made it to call their product faulty when the blame is your own”

The alien didn't like that. She bubbled, popped and started to glow a boiling red color before steam started rising from her mucky body. Gaara took a cautious step back in case the creature exploded. He had his chakra infused sand stuffed into his pockets to react quickly if she decided to attack him or if he needed to protect himself.
Finally, she started screaming for him to get a manager on duty. Her slime was getting everywhere and Gaara had to use his sand to shield himself from the acid rain. That was a command he could comply with and he went off to find a manager, though he couldn't understand how that would make a difference. If he were the manager, he would make her see her fault in the matter as well.

[Anything else?]: Noooooooope.
